I take photos because I like playing with light and colour, and with the shift in perception that occurs when you flatten and frame the things you see in front of you.

I rarely resort to Photoshop style post-processing for anything more than cropping and levels, not out of any belief that to eschew manipulation is somehow superior, but because it pleases me to work as much as I can with what I see at the time rather than what I can fix later.

I normally shoot with a Canon DSLR and process and organise my pictures on a Linux system.
